Established in 2007 in Victoria, Australia, Unipod is a progressive manufacturer and recycler of expanded polystyrene (EPS) products, including Geofoam, waffle pods, underslab insulation, EPS panelling for cladding, and EPS blocks/panels. They offer high-quality, reliable, and sustainable solutions to the building and civil engineering sectors, enhancing construction efficiency and reducing costs. Unipod’s knowledgeable team and commitment to excellence have made them a trusted partner for builders and engineers across Victoria, delivering products that meet high standards of strength and durability.
To make the cleanest steel in Australia, something needs to change — Equest is leading this important shift. The proposed Pinkenba Steel Mill, set to become Queensland’s first producer of clean, sustainable steel, will produce the lowest carbon reinforcement in the country. Leveraging global technology and having secured the Pinkenba site, the project aims to drive economic growth, community engagement, and local responsibility. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with operations expected to commence in 2027, setting new standards in the steel industry.
Since its establishment in 1994, Wire Industries has become a prominent supplier of reinforcing steel products on the East Coast of Australia, with locations in Queensland, Sydney, and Melbourne. Employing over 200 people, the company provides high-quality, ACRS certified reinforcing bar, mesh, and prefabricated steel for projects ranging from residential to light commercial. Wire Industries also offers comprehensive services, including bar processing, scheduling, and delivery.
Bitberry provides digital solutions in Australia, specialising in enterprise manufacturing systems, customer control platforms, and logistics tracking. Initially developed for Westview Group’s businesses, Bestbar and Unipod, their systems are now utilised across various industries. Bitberry’s systems automate manual tasks and enhance efficiency, helping businesses across Australia streamline their operations.

Grant Johnston

Grant Johnston is the Managing Director of Westview Group and has over 35 years of experience in the Australian and Southeast Asian steel reinforcing industry. Grant has played a pivotal role in shaping the Australian reinforcing steel landscape, serving on senior leadership boards for TATA Steel, SIW Thailand, NatSteel Singapore, and the Steel Reinforcing Institute of Australia (SRIA). As the founder of Bestbar Reinforcements in 1995, he has grown the business into the largest independent reinforcing company in Australia while acting as CEO.

Brad Johnston

Brad Johnston is a Director of Westview Group and a founding member of Bestbar Reinforcements. With extensive experience in commissioning over 15 large greenfield operations across Australia, he has a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Brad is currently automating the manufacturing businesses across Australia, significantly increasing production capacity. His dedication to improving processes has been crucial to the company’s advancements and expansion.
